Earlier in the year I was lucky enough to win a challenge which gave me 3 beautiful digis from a Day for Dasies.
This was one of them – It is called ‘Baby Play’.
The mer-mother and baby have been coloured with my trusty Promarkers and Flexmarkers I have tried to give the effect that the light is coming from above, as if they were under water. Their hair is coloured using warm grey 1 and 3 and the blues used are cool aqua, soft aqua and caribbean blue. Their skin is ivory and glacier blue. The image was cut out using an X-cut die then distressed around the edges with Ranger distrss ink in Broken China. The Mermaids were softly framed with blue and gold seaweed fronds created using a die from the Spellbinders foliage set, these were cut fom a scrap of peper that my friend was throwing out! You see I ws right to save it.
I chose the palatte to match the Facebook Promarker colour challenge (below), which also put me in mind of water – My card seems much bluer in the pic that it actually is. I might have to take another one.
I’ll also be entering these challenges:
http://craftycatzweeklychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ – childsplay
http://sendasmile4kidschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ – Die cuts
http://adayfordaisies.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/challenges – stress it
http://deepoceanchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/ – on the beach
http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/ – old new borrowed blue
A day for daisies produce such beautiful images to colour – more to come soon!
