Probably my own Christmas card!

Hello everyone,

I have brought you another card made with my Hunkydory Christmas kit again today.  It is really simple – a topper, 4 alphabet coins and a chopped about backing card.   Last year my husband gave me a Christmas card that I still had left after my craft fairs, so if this one doesn’t sell it might be mine!  I won’t complain as at least I know I’ll like the card.

Christmas in July

Well, I have started my Christmas cards in earnest now and aim to have virtually all done within the next 2 weeks.  As a teacher, I know that I will not have time after September when I go back to school, so it must be done now!

Today’s Christmas card is made with a Hunkydory kit  – I have bought the card inserts as well ans I think thee really add to the quality of the finished product.

The pictures show the front, inside and back of the card.  The rear has a panel cut from insert paper for a personal message.

Starting Christmas

I made this card using a combination of digicraft and Promarkered digiimage.  The scene was set up in Craft Artist using the Merry Christmas 2012 digikit, then the digi imag was dropped into the middle before being printed.  I then coloured the image, mounted the whole design onto a 6 x 6 card and added a ribbon.

The digi image is avalable from Sassy Studio designs.

Creative Moments DT post – Anything but a card

I really had to think about this fortnight’s challenge at Creative Moments as I am predominantly a card maker  but then then…it is supposed to be a challenge!

The image I used is called Tying the knot from Floppy Latte and I dug out a chocolate box that had been getting in the way since Mother’s day.  I am never one to throw out a good box and I knew this one would be great for  a craft project.

The box was first covered with some pale lilac backing paper.  Two doilies of different sizes were layered on top of the backing as the heart box is not symmetrical so I wanted my design to be asymmetrical too.  The sentiment and embellishment all came from Hunkydory’s Timeless elegance and the swirls are made with a Tim Holtz Sizzix die.
