Edwardian Lady

Yesterday was 1st world war day at my children’s school.  My daughter dressed as an Edwardian lady and I cut up an old dress to make her a floor-length skirt and fashioned a blouse with leg o’ mutton sleeves from her elder brother’s school shirt.

My sister got married yesterday

I write this blog post with a big smile on my face.

My sister got married yesterday and I made the dress. I bought a pattern and adjusted it as well as sizing it up.

The fabric used was a blush lace and I love the way the dress looks almost antique.  It is lined with a coffee coloured lightweight jersey.
