Creative Moments challenge – summer

A new challenge has begun at Creative Moments and this fortnight’s theme is summer.  I made my background using elements from Polkadoodles BonBon Belles CD.  The digi image was then fussy cut , leaving a narrow white border and mounted using foam pads on top of a swirl embellishment.

You’re the best

I have used DoCrafts products to make this card for my hubby.  It was actually for his birthday but would be perfect for Father’s day too.

Au revoir

I rarely make an A4 card but this has been made for a lady at work who is leaving to join the international school in Brussels.  She loves Cornwall so I chose this Cornish-style fishing village but added the “au revoir” to acknowledge her move to Belgium.  The central plaque is decoupaged onto the card and the shells on top of that.  The verse is based on one I found online but changed it to better fit this circumstance.

The digikit I used for the artwork is by CraftScapes and is called Summer seaside.

Creative Moments challenge – stitching real or faux

For this latest Creative Moments challenge, I have used a Bugaboo image to make a new baby twins card.  I added the sentiment by editing the digi image in Serif Craft Artist 2 to make it look as though the text is an extension of the drawing.  I coloured the image using Spectrum Noir pencils and mounted the image onto an A5 landscape card The base papers were from a digikit called Homestyle Sewing which I re-coloured green.  I chose green so that the card would cover twins of either gender.
