Creative Moments Challenge – Spring colours

Apparently, Monday was the first day of spring.    Hmmm…it was wet and windy here in Bristol, but the sun came out eventually.

My card today, for the new Creative Moments challenge uses a digistamp from

I coloured the sweet fairy and her friends using Promarkers and embellished with some wooden lasercut toadstools, which are also coloured.  The sentiment was typed onto the page before printing – all ready for Mothering Sunday, next weekend. The wings were printed separately to allow me to shape and decoupage them for dimension.

Creative Moments Challenge – Feminine

This week’s challenge at Creative Moments is make it feminine.  I have used elements from Decosse’s Dynamite Doodles‘  Floral Cats range.  The digital papers and topper were layered up using Serif Craft Artist, then the cat topper was printed a couple more times to cut out and decoupage .

Mothering Sunday

I have used Papermaina’s Folk Floral range for today’s card, which was made for my dear Grandmother.  I printed the sentiment then used a frame from the range to mount it.  The flowers were die-cut as part of a decoupage sheet but were perfect as final embellishments on the card.

Mothering Sunday

Mothering Sunday is fast approaching and this card is made using the Simply Floral range from DoCrafts. The flowers are decoupaged for dimension and then layered over the decorative border.

Three hanging hearts

I have made a series of hanging hearts for St. valentines day and Mothering Sunday.  All the papers and tags used are from Docrafts and I have just added the white lace and the flower on the third heart.  The fist two hearts are made with the Simply Floral collection and the flowers were cut out by hand and decoupaged using foam pads.  The hearts are whitewashed wood and were purchased inexpensively from Country Crafts.2016_02_07

For Mum

Everyone who quotes proverbs will quote this one about you: “Like mother like daughter.”

Ezekiel 16:44

I have made this card as a commission for a friend.  The card base and topper are from HunkyDory and the bling flower from The Hobby House and they bot add to the dimension and texture of the card.  The letters at the bottom are stickers.

I’ll enter these challenges today: – texturise it – bling – shades of green – green stash – mothers/ladies – Mothering Sunday – flowers and butterflies – girly not pink – Mothers’ Day – Special Mums – Mothers’ Day – special Lady – something for Mum
