Son and Daughter-in-Law at Christmas

Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

Ephesians 6:2

This is a card made for my Godmother to give her son.  She can’t get out to buy a card now and her son is wonderful to her.  I made the sentiment myself and the backing paper with the couple ia a Hunkydory free paper that came with Making Cards Magazine.  The silver embellishments are cut with Spellbinders and the card was finished with some crystal glitter.

Creative Moments challenge – Vintage

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isaiah 7:14

My vintage card today has a bit of a twist in that it is for a boy. I have used a deightful digistamp from A day for daisies and teamed it up with all number of bits and bobs from my stash.  I distressed all the edges with vintage photo distress ink for both the vintage look and to get the mismatched pieces of paper to go together!

Glamourous 50th

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 27:1

I have used an old kit by Dawn Bibby for today’s card which is made for a neighbour.  She is very patriotic and this makes a perfect 50th card which is suitably glamourous.

Dragon

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 27:1

I have had these baby dragon toppers from Lili of the Valley for some time but I have started to work through my stash.  This is a really simple card using tearing and distressing around the egdes to make it less pretty and more boyish.

Patchwork Polly

Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly. When a man truly loves a woman, there is nothing he wouldn’t do for her. He shows her respect. He listens intently to her when something is heavy on her mind. He prays with her. He studies God’s word with her.
Colossians 3:19

I have used a Pollycraft digistamp for todays’ card which was teamed with free papers from a magazine.

Raise the flag!

Hello, here’s a patriotic card made using Kanban products for one of my Daughter’s friends.  It is a large 8″ by 8″ card and the only addition to my Kanban stash was some silver Mirror card for the matting and layering.
