Dangerous Dancing

Tomorrow is my husband’s birthday so I made this card using a digistamp from Just Inklined and coloured using Spectrum Noir Pencils.  It was printed on kraft Neenah so the skin tones were a little easier than usual!  And in case you were wondering, this is supposed to depict me and my hubby at our Ballroom Dancing class, though heaven help him if we do ever have to attempt this move!

My 2014 top 15

Thank you for following my blog this year and allowing me to share my creations.  I am planning to make fewer cards next year and concentrate on more sewing projects…well, we’ll see.

I have made approxiamately 200 cards this year and you can imagine how tricky it is to narrow it down to a few favourites, but here goes!  (In no particular order.)

Lili of the Valley stamped image and papers from the Bo Peep collection.

Polkadoodles  made into a birthday card using DoCrafts papers

This is an Emma Canning digi, available from Polka doodles and the papers and embellishments are from Hot Off The Press.

I think this is my favourite.  The papers were from a Tattered Lace magazine and the digi is by Jellypark.

But this is a very close second!  Made entirely using a Polkadoodles CD, I did a lot of fussy cutting to make this circular card.

Wishing you all a happy and blessed new year.

The year of the horse

The horse [is] prepared against the day of battle: but safety [is] of the LORD Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.

James 3:3

I am sharing a fun card to day, made with an image from Just Inklined.  The card is in homage to the Cheltenham Festival which took place this week.

For Emily’s confirmation

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Galations 5:22

I have made this card for the dear daughter of dear friends who recently moved abroad.  The digistamp is from a craft CD called THe Next Big Thing and the papers were free in a magazine.  The glitters used on the flowers are by Debbi Moore.

A Macmillan Thank you

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Matthew 25:36

Hello,  a CAS card for you today and I have an unseasonal card for a good reason.  Yesterday Iorganised a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer support – they use the image of the daffodil for fundraising and hope.  This is my thank you to all those who supported and helped us to raise £150.00 for the charity.

The card teams a digita; stamp from Just Ink;ined and the sentiment medallion was free wth a magazine a couple of years ago.  I think this a smooth combination of digital and traditional stamping, don’t you?

Creative Moments DT Post – Flowers

For the latest Creative Moments challenge, I have joined two sweet digis from Just Inklined.  The theme this fortnight is flowers.

The heart shapes were cut out using Sizzix dies from a selection of odd papers from my stash.  The ribbons were also scraps and 3 short lengths were tied into a bow using a bow-maker.  All papers were dusted around the edge with Tim Holtz Spun Sugar distressing ink.
