Hunkydory Christmas

This is a Hundydory card of a style I have never tried before. Who could think a Hunkydory car could be CaS? I cut various leaf die cuts from silver and white card but everything else on the card is from the Hunkydory topper and backing sheets (Wonderful Wintertime – A wise old winter). I think this is one of the nicest cards I have made in a long time 🙂

Creative Moments Challenge – Music

Another Christmas card from me today – I am on a run of them at the moment.  I have used this image of carolling penguins from Scribbles Designs for the Creative Moments music themed challenge.

I printed and coloured the digistamp, then printed the circular text with some of the music notes which I used as a frame by cutting the central part with a die.   I used 3d foam to raise this frame over the image and mounted the lot on a red mat before affixing to a 7 inch square card.

Creative Moments Challenge – Anything goes!

Do you ever need to make a card super quickly?  Well, here is a super quick card from me.  The delightful digi of a cat amongst pots of geraniums is from Knitty Kitty.  It was coloured using Promarkers, cut out and mounted onto a decorated card blank from Create and Craft using foam pads.   A super quick but effective card!

I bought a whole pack of these card blanks, with different designs, from a charity shop for £2.00!  Who doesn’t love a bargain?

Creative Moments Challenge – Flag day

 

For the new challenge at Creative Moments the theme is flags.  This week, no flag is more appropriate than the Union flag.  Such tragedy has hit the United Kingdom over the last two months that our union must be celebrated.  I am praying for all those involved and who live in the area and send condolences to all those bereaved or still searching for loved ones.

My card is almost too cheerful for a post such as this, but that is the nature of the digistamp from Bugaboo.

Humphrey and Lottie search for eggs

This Humphrey’s Corner stamp from Crafter’s Companion was coloured using Letraset Aquamarkers as a watercolour paint.

The image was then die-cut into an oval and assembled using the sketch below and Simply Adorable papers from Making Cards magazine.  Each piece was edge using vintage photo  distress ink from Ranger.

A special Day

I made this card fro my sister and  brother-in-law’s wedding anniversary ; my sister has always loved owls.  I have used a pre-coloured digi stamp called Cake time from Polkadoodles and it is also available in a blackand white digistamp.  The backing papers and sentiment are from there too from a digital paper download .

Creative Moments Challenge – Bingo!

Today’s card is my DT for Creative Moments’ new challenge.  I have used a digistamp from Di’s Digi Downloads and is called Summer Sun Mouse.  the backing papers are from My Minds Eye and were used to reflect a sketch, shown below.

I have recently treated myself to two packs of Spectrum Noir Pencils and this is my first attempt at colouring with them – I am happy with the result but think I’ll get bettter with practice.
