In this family…

He who brings trouble on his family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise.

Proverbs 11:29

Several years ago I visited someone who had a picture with these words in their home.  I always wanted one for my own family and when I recently saw these words on Pinterest, I made our own picture.

The poster was created in Serif Craft Artist and I used a digikit from Scrapper’s Delights to create the background.  I used the transparency tool for the first time(!) to fade the rainbow out near the bottom.  The faux stitching is part of the digikit too.

I shall enter this picture into the following challenges: – sentiment as the focus mkaeyour own background – uplifting – inspirational object: This image from Pinterest

Now I just have to find a frame…

Creative Fingers Challenge – Fairytale

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

2Timothy 1:7

Today’s card is made for Creative Fingers Fairytale challenge.  I took my inspiration for this card from a Disney storybook that I had as a child.  At the end of Sleeping Beauty, the fairy godmothers were arguing over the colour of Briar Rose’s wedding dress.  One wanted it pink and another blue.  They each used magic when the other wasn’t looking to change it.  So here she is, with her dress magically changing – do you see the sparkles of magic dust?  Yes, I have regressed to 6 years old…sigh…

The lettering is from a Forever friends range at DoCrafts and the papers were free with a magazine.

Here are today’s challenges: – favourite things – anything goes – birds – anything goes – glitter – dazzle – sparklr it up – glitter and sparkle – just a fairytale – feminine – anything goes – anything goes – film or song (Sleeping Beauty) – anything goes

The digi stamp used is avilable from Scrapper’s Delights and don’t forget to enter the Creative Fingers Fairytale challenge.
