Hello everyone – I am sorry I have neglected you over the last few months, but I am back!
And I am returning full of the Christmas spirit with this seasonal cards. I have made dozens of Christmas cards and I find the faith cards sell so well at the craft fairs I attend, plus I can send those left to people I know.
I have made a card without a bow for the Creative Moments challenge, but as ever the theme is optional – you can enter here or do visit to take a look at what the rest of the DT have created. I am using a digi called Bethlehem with verse from Eureka. It is coloured using Promarkers in gradiated shades of blue, with a little metalic gold for the star and the stable – I love blue and gold at Christmas 🙂
Am I cheeky to call my own card a stunner? I had to do so little to this wonderful, season digistamp from Eureka to make this card for the new Creative Moments challenge. I coloured with just Tim Holtz distress inks and brushes.
I added the sentiment – and this was the last card I made this year. Very simple and very lovely.
I have made a huge batch of Christmas cards using Hunkydory’s Miracle of Christmas pack. This car is my favourite. It is not clear in the mage, but the frame around the main topper is raised on foam pads as it the sentiment.
Athough I love using and colouring digi stamps, every now and again I like to get out proper wood-mounted rubber stamps. Here I have used two and then embossed the images with black embossing powder. It seems strange to use black on a Christmas card (and indeed as I schoolgirl i was once marked down for designing a wrapping paper that had a black background) but with with the silver foil on the Kanban backing paper, I still see the light in this card.
I used no papers his week but typeset a bible verse to compliment the image. There are some lovely DT cards over at Creative Moments and you can use the link to enter your card for the spring challenge.
