Dreaming of summer trips…

Good morning, I am sharing a card today that I made using Hunkydory.  It is wet and windy here in Bristol and I am dreaming of warmer weather.  Roll on summer!

Creative Moments Challenge – Winter

The latest challenge at Creative Moments is sponsored by

I have made a card using Skating Polar bears.  The bears were coloured using Promarkers in Ivory and Saffron, plus the blender, I was watching a wildlife program last week and saw that polar bears are quite yellow in colour.  The reds used were Maroon and Ruby and the snowy sky is Cool Grey 1.  I have use papers from a Tattered Lace magazine with a Nordic theme.  The ornate die at the top of the image is from Spellbinders and the DAD is a Tonic die.

The card is finished with some Debbi Moore glitter and a few gems.

Creative Fingers challenge – No square cards

This week’s challenge is sponsored by:

I have used the image Holiday cottage scene.  The image was coloured with Promarkers and I printed the sentiment from my computer.  I used papers from Woodware that were free with a magazine and finished with some gems from my bling box.  All the elements used to make up this card were edged using Ranger distress ink in Evergreen Bough.

Now although my card is square(!), the challenge is actually to make a card that is not square, so go along to Creative Fingers to enter you project and see the other (not square) inspirational projects.

Labradors

We have always had labradors 2 yellow ones and now a black lab.  My younger son calls yellow labs “white chocolate labradors”, which I think is a much better name.  So here is a card with 2 of these wonderful dogs in decoupage.  I think this might find it’s way to my husband for his next birthday.

I have had the die-cut sheet for such a long time that I don’t even remember who produced the kit!

Cheerful Stamp Pad Challenge – All that Jazz

For my second All That Jazz challenge post I have made a CAS card using the grand piano and added my own sentiment.  Perfect for the piano teacher!

I have had Craft Artist 2 for some time now but I am learning to do different things every time I use it.To get this effct of the border, I used to layer 2 squares but today I discovered that it is far easier to use just one square and make a thick boder around the shape!

The Cheerful Stamp Pad – for a man

This is the second week in the For a man challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad.   This great slogan comes from Sentimetal Susan and is available at Stitchy Bear Outlet.   I have team the digital sentiment with a Daisy Trail digikit called Swirling Memories.   I really love the effect of the lamp post shadow.
