Creative Fingers Challenge – anything but a card

And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.

Ezekiel 33:32

Welcome to another post for Creative Fingers.  This week’s challenge is anything but a card and I have made a gift bag using this delightful image from Art by Miran.  I bought the kraft bag from The Hobby House and the butterfly papers were free with a magazine.  I have used a new Spellbinders die called the butterfly tree and the sentiment was bought in the same set. The pink cord is upcycled from an old gift bag (I can’t bin them without removing the handles and trims)  and one piece is used with the Hunkydory tag and the other is not fixed so that it could be tied to close the bag when filled.

Celebrate us!

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

Ephesians 4:2

Today’s card is an anniversay card (Shhh… I might put this back for my hubby).  I have used elements from a Country Companions paper kit from Docrafts and added some baker’s twine.

This card will be entered into these challeges: – celebrate – love – Love is all around – Love – Love – die-cuts/punch – love

Hope you have had a lovely Velentine’s weekend.

Just a wee thank you

I thank and praise you, O God of my fathers: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.

Daniel 2:23

This is a lovely Wee Stamps image.  The card is made with a Hobby House card kit, the only part that was not in the kit is the little heart-shaped button.  This will be an ideal thank you card for Granny after one of my son’s birthday.

These are today’s challenges: – ribbons and bows – button/bow/flower – one heart – use red/pink – use a heart – F is for flowers

Hope you like it – see you soon,

A Christmas gift for you

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Matthew 5:8

This is a sweet Mo Manning digi.  I have diecut card from My  Paper Stash, using Spellbinders.  The papers are not Christmas paper (because I’ve put all my Christmas paper away in the attic!) however, as the colours match the colours of the image I don’t think it is obvious.  I have embossed ordinary printing paper for the background and it alsomet looks like snow swirls.

I’ll be entering these challenges: – KISS – anything goes – christmas – colours beginning with b – turquoise winter – colour challenge – sketch – for a child – girly – use red

Hope you are safe in this terrible weather.

I found the one my heart loves.

Song of Soloman 3:4

My wonderful sister is getting married in August, and as I have volunteered to make the cake, dress, invitations and thank yous and do the flowers, I have had to start early.  I have had this beautiful curvy Mo Manning bride for a whileand it was just perfect to set off the Eureka digital sentiment.  I have coloured her in coffee brown as this will be the colour of the dress.  The groom is a little incidental, though I have paid homage to his red hair!

The theme of the wedding is pink and brown and I have dressed the final 8″ x 8″ card to match.  The ribbon was an offcut in cream but I coloured it with a Promarker to match the Spellbinders corners.  I think I’d like a more blousy bow but my sister can’t stand fussy cards so I’ve toned it down to her tastes, but did slip a few pearls in!

Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.

Proverbs 18:22

My sister is getting married this year, and as our dear Mummy is no longer with us I am rather taking on her role; of course this has nothing to do with my being bossy and controlling at all!  Over the coming weeks and months I will be sharing some of our plans and preparation.

If you are interested, you might like to look at my Pinterest page, where I have collected ideas.

The card will be entered into these challenges: – Valentines day/hearts/Love – invitations/wedding – use a heart – love is in the air (#199) – red/pink – love – love your love – hearts – anything with a heart – heart of the matter – picture inspiration

Flower girl

With it you shall make incense, a perfume, the work of a perfumer, salted, pure, and holy.

Exodus 30:35

Here is a pretty card today in blues but for a girl.  The image is from Wee stamps and the papers by Nitwits.  Everything you see, apart from the blue gems came in a kit fron The Hobby House.  I just love their kit as they are not too bib and are very usable.

Today’s challenges: – use a heart – colours beginning with blue – add gems, glitter or candi – anything goes – no stamping allowed – use blue/brown/purple/plum – for a female – anything goes
