Saturated Canary – Butterflies

Here is a card made with a Saturated Canary digistamp andand coloured with Promarkers.  Her hair is cool grey 1 and 3 and her skin is satin and blush.  Her dress is forest green, meadow green and apple.  The pre-embossed backing card is from Crafters’ Companion and the sentiment from Emma Cromwell @ Docrafts.  I love the final effect of the rosette behind the sentiment.  This is a Spellbinders tree with the trunk cut off.  The image and the 6 x 6 card are both mounted onto silver mirror card.

I followed a colour inspiration picture from http://lovetocreatechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

Here are the challenges I’ll be entering:

http://hobbycutzchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ – the letter ‘H’ (hair)

http://bunnyzoescrafts.blogspot.co.uk/ – wings

http://fashionistachallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ – wedding or birthday

http://craftsandmechallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/challenge-138-anything-goes.html – anything goes

http://saturatedcanarychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ – Fruit (apple green)

It is unusual for me to work wholly in green and I love the effect – hope you  do too!

  1. Hi, Leona! A beautiful card – the colors are striking. I wondered how you chose those colors and then saw the color challenge. What a lovely job you did shading and this beautiful card. I especially like the silver mirror CS which accentuates the silver tones in your color choices. Someone will be very happy receiving this pretty card! Thank you for joining us at Fashionista month! I hope you will submit more of your pretty cards to the challenge in the future! hugs, Donna
